Was a lot better in the past. Disappointing stay

Lovely proximity to the beach. Nice gym.

− Super busy. They don’t have enough beach beds on the beach for everyone. They leave a whole front row free, charging €120 for the day, that nobody buys. They add a 10% to every bill in the hotel, even if you just got a bottle of water. We arrived on Monday and there were no tennis courts available until Friday. The gym classes were €18 even as a hotel guest. They were poor and felt they were designed for an older crowd. Breakfast had loads of flies around. It was our honeymoon - so we still had a great time, but I felt let down.

Eigenlijk niets. De kamer is groot genoeg, Wel ouderwets en niet mooi. Airco maakt veel lawaai.

− Zeer slecht ontbijt, elke dag precies hetzelfde. Vies in het restaurant op de vloer en stoelen. Personeel bij de receptie is niet vriendelijk. Voor advies van conciërge heb bijna 2 uur in de rij gestaan. Voor strandstoelen moet je betalen, de stoelen zijn bedekt met een vieze kleed, niet comfortabel. Overal eten en resten op het strand. Personeel doet niets om het schoon te houden. Strand is ook niet sensationeel, veel stenen. Op enkele km afstand veel mooiere stranden Restaurant bij het strand is een enorme teleurstelling. Je moet minimaal 75eu pp bestellen. Probleem is dat het menu erg beperkt is. Iets besteld uiteindelijk, het was niet te eten. Terwijl in Portugal eten zo lekker is en betaalbaar is. Uiteindelijk hebben we het hotel alleen maar voor slapen gebruikt, verder is niets daar te beleven.

A relaxing but pricey holiday.

The Resort is beautiful and well Maintained. Access to the beach is easy and red cliffs offer a dramatic backdrop to the white buildings of the resort and the beautiful planting. The staff are lovely and good fun. The resort is spotless. The pools are all lovely. The no claiming your sun lounger until you are ready to use it was a dream.

− Apart from the XXL restaurant and the rather expensive Japanese restaurant the food was not 5 star. The breakfast buffet was good and always kept well stocked but the filter coffee and the coffee machines were dreadful. However my main complaint was the buffet and Indian restaurant were closed. The Italian and the cafe corda were pretty poor food offerings. Definitely not 5 star. We were also on half board but I didn’t realise this was a €55 limit. And did not include water at the table. The constant adding of a tip was also annoying and embarrassing. I wish they would just pay their staff better. Even if you bought an over priced cream from the cart there was a recommended tip added and it was up to you to remove it. Which I found slightly embarrassing in front of the staff. Everything was very expenses. £50 for a 1 hr game of tennis seemed steep. Golf around £120 for 9 holes after adding on equipment.

O espaço onde o resort está instalado

− House keeping, no primeiro dia ninguém foi ao quarto 019 e a limpeza deixou a desejar, ainda que depois da reclamação construtiva ficou substancialmente melhor. A comida no “portulano” bem como no “Maré” onde a Carne de porco preto e peitos de frango não recomendáveis por não estarem 100% frescos, sabiam a carne demasiadamente velha e mal acondicionada. Sou cliente desde 2016 e foi a 1.ª vez que isto aconteceu. No XXL O tiramissu velho e seco. A contrastar com o tiramissu do Italiano Portufino que tinha laivos de excelência. No Olivier, o conceito parece ser o de vender caro aquilo que tem a qualidade de um MAC Donald. Contudo, para quem reserva uma semana no “Pine Clifs” espera que a qualidade dos produtos seja consentânea com a dicotomia preço/qualidade. Vou esperar dois anos para voltar a ser cliente, se se voltar a repetir, desistirei desta unidade hoteleira. Paulo Santos, cliente de 2 a 9 de setembro de 2026, quarto 019
