Very poor service. Won’t be back again.
1.0This is our second time staying here having first stayed here during Covid when we had a perfect stay. Location of the hotel is second to none, beds are very comfortable and room was larger than expected.
− We decided to dine downstairs in the bistro and were left waiting 35 minutes to be served a simple fish and chips and when it arrived it was cold, the table beside us were actually waiting longer and when theirs came out, they sent it all back, we wish we had of done the same but we were in a hurry to get to a wedding so we had to make due with the cold food. I wouldn’t mind but it’s on the pricier side of things too so it was annoying receiving such under par lunch. The diners next to us were actually chatting to us about the poor service also and yet no manager or staff member came over to see what was going on or to check in with either table. The staff who did serve us looked visibly stressed, not a smile to be seen among any of them. The shower in the room is also awful with very weak water pressure. Finally, on check out, we asked for our card to be validated for the parking but when we went to pay, it charged €23 even though it is advertised as €18 for overnight guests. I waited beside the machine while my husband walked back to reception to have it re-validated. They then charged him €18 at reception meanwhile another couple had the same issue as the card machine was acting up and they came back and said they had been given it for free. I have no idea why my husband was charged and they weren’t but this really rubbed me up the wrong way, I would have even thought that having to go back to reception because of their broken machine was enough to be given it for free. Anyway, needless to say we won’t be back for a third time.

9.0VERY busy hotel. Prices were high but that is Dublin. It is two minute walking distance from Houston Train station. Not the best neighborhood but easier to get out of town w a car.
