8.0O grande diferencial do Portofino Bay é o Universal Express Unlimited incluído para todos os hóspedes da reserva, válido no Universal Studios Florida e no Islands of Adventure. O benefício pode compensar muito financeiramente, já que funciona tanto no dia do check-in quanto no check-out e, dependendo da tarifa, a hospedagem pode sair mais barata do que comprar os passes separadamente. A entrada antecipada nos parques também é uma vantagem. Além disso, é possível ir caminhando até os parques ou utilizar o barco gratuito, o que facilita muito a experiência. O hotel é enorme, agradável e confortável, com uma ambientação inspirada na Itália e três piscinas, incluindo uma com uma espécie de prainha de areia.
− O principal ponto negativo é o preço. As tarifas costumam ser bastante elevadas e nem sempre é fácil encontrar boas promoções. Pelo valor normalmente cobrado, é possível se hospedar em hotéis mais modernos e sofisticados em Orlando. O Portofino Bay também já demonstra sua idade em alguns aspectos da estrutura e dos ambientes, embora seja bem conservado e confortável. Na minha opinião, o preço só se justifica realmente quando se aproveitam os benefícios oferecidos nos parques, especialmente o Express Unlimited. Caso contrário, existem opções com custo-benefício muito melhor.
